Privacy, in plain words.

The short version: the chart makers run entirely in your browser and upload nothing. The one thing we ever store is the email of people who sign in to the AI connector.

Who is responsible

Meiku Charts is operated by an individual developer. This policy covers meikucharts.com and its hosted services. For privacy questions or requests, email meikuio.media@gmail.com.

The chart makers and share links

The makers parse, build and render charts on your device. The data you paste or load is never uploaded to us — there is no upload, no account, and this site sets no cookies. Downloads (PNG, SVG) are produced on your machine.

Share links carry the chart data in the part of the URL after #, which browsers do not send to our server. Anyone you give the full link to can read the data it contains, so share it with care.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookie-free and does not profile visitors or track you across sites. It gives us aggregate counts — which pages were visited, roughly from where — and nothing about your chart data.

Embedded charts on other sites

A page that embeds a chart loads our script from meikucharts.com. Serving that file is the only interaction: the embedded chart does not track viewers, set cookies, or send the chart's data anywhere. The surrounding site's privacy practices are its own.

The AI connector (MCP)

Connecting an AI assistant to meikucharts.com/mcp requires signing in with Google. From that sign-in we receive and store your email address — it identifies your access and lets us apply fair-use limits. We never see your Google password; Google only confirms who you are. Chart specs sent to the connector are processed to render your chart and are not stored.

Why, and on what basis

We process your email and your chart specs to provide the service you asked for (performance of the service you signed up to), and technical request data to keep the service secure and fair (our legitimate interest in running it). We do not use your data for advertising.

How long we keep it

Your sign-in email is kept until you ask us to delete it. Chart specs sent to the connector are not stored; maker data never reaches us at all. Our host (Cloudflare) processes technical request data, such as IP addresses, transiently to deliver and protect the service.

Providers and data sharing

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for advertising. It goes to no third parties beyond the infrastructure that provides the service: Cloudflare (hosting) and Google (sign-in). These providers operate globally and rely on their standard contractual safeguards where data crosses borders.

Your rights

You can ask to see or delete your stored email by writing to meikuio.media@gmail.com, ideally from that address. Where your local law provides more — correction, a portable copy, restriction, objection, or a complaint to a data-protection authority — those rights stand. California residents: we do not sell or share personal information in the CCPA's sense, and you will never be penalised for exercising a privacy right.

Age 16 and over

Meiku Charts is intended for people aged 16 and over. If you believe someone under 16 has provided a sign-in email, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

Changes appear on this page with a new date at the top; a material change gets a notice on the homepage before it takes effect.
