Terms, in plain words.

The short version: use Meiku Charts to make and embed charts. Use the service lawfully, respect its limits, and check your results. The service is provided “as is”.

Who provides the service

Meiku Charts is operated by an individual developer. These terms cover meikucharts.com and the hosted services we provide; by using them, you agree to these terms. Questions: meikuio.media@gmail.com.

Using Meiku Charts

You must be at least 16 to use the service. The chart makers work in your browser without an account; the AI connector requires Google sign-in. You may embed charts on any site, provided your use is lawful and follows these terms. You are responsible for having permission to use and publish the data and content in your charts.

What is not allowed

Do not attack or disrupt the service, abuse or bypass its limits, or put unlawful content in charts. Use of the hosted connector is also subject to the Acceptable Use policy.

The MIT-licensed core

The core engine is MIT-licensed open-source software; its repository will be public at launch. The MIT licence governs use, copying, modification and distribution of that software, and these service terms take nothing away from it — preserve the notices it requires. Access to our hosted service is separate from the licence to the software.

Free features and future paid features

There is no paid tier yet; paid features, when offered, will carry their own terms. We may change or discontinue free features, and we do not promise that a particular free feature or hosted endpoint will remain available indefinitely.

Availability and responsibility

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free results or suitability for every purpose — check a chart's data and output before relying on it or publishing it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, lost data or business interruption arising from use of the service or its unavailability. Nothing here excludes liability, or limits consumer rights, that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit.
