One box of data, sixteen chart shapes — the dot plot has its own maker at /dot-plot-maker because it takes raw numbers, not label-value pairs. Paste "label, value" lines, switch types until it reads right, then copy the embed code or download a PNG. Runs entirely in your browser.

What is this chart maker?

Meiku Charts' free chart maker turns pasted data into any of 16 live chart types, from bar and line to waterfall, heat map and slope, ready to export as PNG or SVG or to embed.

How to make a chart

  1. Paste your data with labels in the first column and values in the next, or load a CSV file.
  2. Pick a chart type and theme; the chart morphs to the new shape while keeping your data.
  3. Download a PNG or SVG for a slide or document, copy the embed code for a web page, or copy a link that reopens the chart with your data.

What are the main types of charts and when do you use them?

Bar and column charts compare categories, line and area charts show change over time, pie and waffle charts show parts of a whole, scatter plots relate two measurements, and histograms and dot plots show how values are spread.

Can ChatGPT or Claude make charts?

Yes. Through the Meiku Charts connector, an AI assistant can turn your data into a live chart or table and hand you an embed or an image. The same charts can also be made by hand in this maker without any AI.

How do I import data into a chart maker?

Paste rows copied from Excel, Google Sheets or a text file, or load a CSV or TSV file. The first column becomes the labels and the next columns become the values, one series per column.

Is this free and private?

Yes. This maker builds charts in your browser. Your chart data stays on your device, with no signup or maker usage limit. Free PNG and SVG exports carry a meikucharts.com mark; Free embeds keep the “Made with Meiku Charts” credit. Pro removes these marks and lets you choose your own credit line or no credit. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures anonymous page views, sets no cookies and never sees chart data. Pro license checks are explained in our Privacy policy.

How do I activate Pro?

Copy your Pro key from the Polar customer portal using your checkout email address, then enter it in your account and select “Activate Pro”. For clean exports in another browser, select “Use Pro in this browser”. Follow How to turn on Pro for websites, exports and the AI connector.

How do I embed the chart on my own page?

Click “Copy embed” to copy a script tag plus a <live-chart> element carrying your current spec as JSON. Paste it into any HTML page and the chart renders live — no build step required. The embed loads one hosted file from meikucharts.com.

Can I export the chart as an image?

Yes. “Download PNG” renders the current chart onto an offscreen canvas at 2x resolution and downloads it — useful for slides, docs, or anywhere embedding live HTML isn’t practical.
