Every observation gets its own row. Paste a column of numbers, or edit them here. Grouping happens in the chart; the original readings stay intact.

Paste raw numbers — one per line or separated by commas — and get a live histogram. Bins are computed automatically (Sturges' rule); pick a bin count if you want control. Everything runs locally in your browser.

What is this histogram maker?

Meiku Charts' free histogram maker turns a pasted column of raw numbers into a live histogram with automatic or custom bins, ready to export as PNG or SVG or to embed on a web page.

How to make a histogram

  1. Paste a column of raw numbers, or load a CSV file.
  2. Keep the automatic bins or pick the bin count yourself and watch the shape of the data change.
  3. Download a PNG or SVG for a slide or document, copy the embed code for a web page, or copy a link that reopens the chart with your data.

What is the difference between a histogram and a bar chart?

A histogram shows how one set of numbers is spread across ranges, called bins, so its bars touch and stay in numeric order. A bar chart compares separate categories, so its bars have gaps and can be sorted by size.

How do I choose the bin width for a histogram?

Start with the automatic bins, then try a few bin counts; fewer bins mean wider ones. Too few bins hide the shape of the data; too many turn it into noise. Pick the width that shows the pattern clearly without breaking it into scattered spikes.

What data do I need to make a histogram?

One column of raw numbers, such as test scores, delivery times or ages, with one measurement per row. Don't count them first; the maker groups the values into bins and counts each bin for you.

Is this free and private?

Yes. This maker builds histograms in your browser. Your chart data stays on your device, with no signup or maker usage limit. Free PNG and SVG exports carry a meikucharts.com mark; Free embeds keep the “Made with Meiku Charts” credit. Pro removes these marks and lets you choose your own credit line or no credit. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures anonymous page views, sets no cookies and never sees chart data. Pro license checks are explained in our Privacy policy.

How do I activate Pro?

Copy your Pro key from the Polar customer portal using your checkout email address, then enter it in your account and select “Activate Pro”. For clean exports in another browser, select “Use Pro in this browser”. Follow How to turn on Pro for websites, exports and the AI connector.

How do I embed the chart on my own page?

Click “Copy embed” to copy a script tag plus a <live-chart> element carrying your current spec as JSON. Paste it into any HTML page and the chart renders live — no build step required. The embed loads one hosted file from meikucharts.com.

Can I export the chart as an image?

Yes. “Download PNG” renders the current chart onto an offscreen canvas at 2x resolution and downloads it — useful for slides, docs, or anywhere embedding live HTML isn’t practical.
